ONION FRY
Ingredients you will need (serves 2):
Onion (small) - 20
Green chillies - 2
Garam masala - 1 tablespoon
Turmeric powder - 1 pinch
Salt as required.
For tempering: Mustard seeds, Urud dal, Curry leaves.
Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add mustard seeds, Urud dal, and curry leaves. When they became tempered enough add moderately fine chopped onions and green chillies. Saute them until onion starts to become slightly crispy. Add turmeric powder, Garam masala and salt as required. Stir well for 2 minutes for the masala to coat the onions and also to eliminate the raw smell. And its done! Best instant cooking combo with steamed rice :)

Ingredients you will need (serves 2):
Button mushrooms - 15 (moderate size)
Capsicum - 1
Butter - 2 teaspoons
Salt and Pepper as required.
Heat 1 teaspoon of butter in a non-stick pan. Add the finely chopped capsicum and saute till it becomes a little soft. Meanwhile chop mushrooms. Don't chop it so fine. A considerable bigger size will be good. Now remove capsicum from the pan and keep it aside. Once again add 1 teaspoon butter and saute mushrooms. Don't add water as mushrooms usually has enough water content in them. Once you notice the mushrooms turning into light brown color, add the capsicum and stir it well. Now add salt and pepper as required. In a moderate flame cover it for 2 minutes and stir again. Pepper mushroom is now ready !! :)
